The Brighton and Hove Ramblers have over 600 members and they kindly took me for a walk.
Starting at Hangleton Manor Pub, within moments we were in the most stunning countryside. It was wonderful. When you see the photos here just bear in mind they are all taken in the Hove and Portslade constituency!
I met some really amazing people as we walked. The leader for my walk is a former ambassadors with some incredibly insightful analysis. I met another who did his PhD in 1974 on railway technology which led to the leaning trains we have today, who’s son did a PhD at Sussex on farming on the South Downs. And wonderful George who was celebrating his 75th birthday with a walk in the Hove countryside! He’s lived his whole life here and talked me through the changing economy as it evolved form the precision manufacturing which was his profession through to today’s small business and multi-media economy of today.
So fascinating people and beautiful countryside…I’ll be walking with the Ramblers again and supporting their cause – you can do the same by clicking here: http://bahr.org.uk/page/about-us
