I took Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls to Small Batch today. I wanted him to see how brilliant our enterprise culture is in Hove and Portslade. 

I also wanted him to hear first hand how government can better support the small businesses that are best able to create new high quality jobs. This is one of my top priorities and I’ll carry on fighting for better conditions for our local businesses to thrive in.

Small Batch have done wonders in a really short amount of time. Fantastic coffee shops that beat of global competition and doing it by treating staff really well, playing a positive role in our communities, and paying a living wage. Oh, and I hear the coffee is pretty awesome too!
