This month marked an incredibly proud moment for the Hangleton and Knoll Project as they officially opened their new partnership youth centre in Knoll Park: The Weller Youth Centre.
I was incredibly honoured to be there and cut the ribbon alongside Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Councillor Amanda Grimshaw.
Funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s and Brighton & Hove City Council and hard work and determination in bucket loads by the Hangleton and Knoll Project Youth Team and Young People who have very much been at the heart of shaping the space.
The centre is named after the wonderful founder and trustee, Pat Weller MBE, and in memory of her late husband, honouring their lifelong service and unwavering commitment to the Hangleton and Knoll community.
This is just the start and I’m so very excited for the future at this space in this amazing community.
