A huge step closer to a brand new leisure centre!
I’ve not made any secret of my desire to get a leisure centre in Hove that’s fit for the 21st century. A place that local residents and their friends and family can enjoy.
Onehat’s modern, clean and state-of-the-art. I’ve been loud about this and so I’m thrilled that the final proposals are now with us and they’re stunning.
The plans will progress via the usual planning process – meaning as residents you can view and comment on them (here: https://ow.ly/mvfw50Yra7W )
Well done to everyone involved, and the brilliant councillors, such as Alan Robins, who have been determined to replace the current building which is falling down, well past its use and an eye sore on the seafront.
When the Tories ran the council back in 2008 they pulled the plug on a planned new leisure centre. When the Greens ran the council back in 2016 they built the i360. So I’m really proud that it’s your Labour councillors who are focussed on residents’ and improving our health & wellbeing and the sense of pride in our City 🏊🏾❤️
