I’ve been doing a lot of work on getting energy companies to act more fairly in the way they charge customers, especially vulnerable ones. The energy sector is one of the few that actually punishes loyalty by charging you more.

I interviewed the CEO of Ofgem, the energy regulator, and told him directly that I felt he had been too passive by not using all the powers he has to fix this. I asked him to apologise, and I was rather surprised – but pleased – that he did.

Have you¬†ever switched your energy company? Only a third of us have but it can save you a fortune! I have switched my provider, I was amazed that it only took ten minutes and my annual bill fell by well over a third! I’m now a committed switcher! If you haven’t, do it today!
