Thank you to everyone who made today’s Day of Remembrance in Hove and Portslade so special.
I attended three services, marched in a parade, and listened to veterans in a community centre and then at the Royal British Legion club in Portslade.
The Portslade service is always amazing. Hundreds of people attend but best of all you see loads of people of all ages and there’s a role for young children too.
The humility, modesty, and joy for life that veterans I meet are bursting with always makes me burst with pride in them and thank my lucky stars that I have the pleasure of meeting them.
I hope you’ve had a great weekend and also managed to find time to think of those who sacrifice so much to secure the freedoms we enjoy so much. All the best, Peter
