On April 1, Coperforma took over responsibility for providing transport for patients from their homes to non-emergency hospital appointments across the county. However, the┬áhandover has led to so many problems and missed appointments that I’m seriously worried about the risk to patients and I’ve called on the service to get a grip or go.

If you or your family have been affected by the change in the Sussex Patient Transport Service (PTS) you should give feedback and make a complaint. You can do that in the following ways:

2. Brighton & Hove patients can send feedback to the NHS Brighton & Hove Clinical Commissioning Group by calling 01273 574899.

3. You can write to Complaints Officer, NHS Brighton & Hove CCG, Level 4 Lanchester House, Trafalgar Place, Brighton BN1 4FU.

I have a meeting with the Chief Operating Officer of NHS Brighton & Hove CCG where I will be insisting on a full report on the problems and evidence that things have been resolved.
