I know this update is a little behind the times but I had over 500 emails and heaven knows how many Tweets and Facebook Messages about the government plans to weaken our fox hunting laws so I wanted to mention it.
I’m really proud to live in a place where so many people care deeply about animal welfare and the volume of correspondence shows just how many of you there are. I was a little hurt so many felt the need to ask if I would vote to keep the ban – of course I would!!
It was a stupid attempt by government to ram through a nasty piece of legislation a few days before summer recess and I’m glad they didn’t get away with it. If they try again, which I am sure they will, I’ll do all I can to stop it. All the best, Peter
