This year Pride in Brighton and Hove raised over £60,000 for local good causes. It’s one of the benefits of Pride to our local community that doesn’t get enough attention.

Last night the Rainbow Fund, which distributes this money, made its awards and I was very pleased to present the Brighton and Hove LGBT Switchboard with a grant for £2,500. They will use this money for specialist training to enable even better support for people made vulnerable by issues of sexual identity. Well done them and all the other recipients.
