Peter_in_Vale_Park.jpgOn Saturday 15th March, Peter joined residents of South Portslade in their effort to clean-up their local park.

Vale Park is a fantastic local space with children’s play area, the Scout hut and some outdoor fitness equipment. It’s one of the places the Green Party Administration had targeted for cuts to maintenance in their proposed budget this year.

With so much to despair about in our community – food banks for example – today was a reminder that there is also lots to celebrate. Seeing everyone pitching in and improving their environment boots despair out of the door!

Whilst Peter probably won’t get a job as a landscape gardener he was over-the-moon to be able to make a contribution to the community around Vale Park.
