Some Musical Fun At The Station, On Me!

I should say at the outset that there’s no substitute for our rail companies improving services, reliability, and solving the overcrowding that still exists on some services (like the 5.06 I was on from Victoria yesterday which was terribly overcrowded!).

But having said that, surely there are ways we can increase the enjoyment, or at times reduce the misery, of time spent at our city’s biggest terminal? That beautiful station should be filled with beautiful sounds too, so I have written to Southern Rail, who operates Brighton station, offering to buy a piano for pausing passengers to enjoy.

The two at St Pancras station are always in use and usually a source of delight to fellow passengers and passers-by.

I think this could offer some moments of real fun and enjoyment to our daily routine, but what do you think? Would you tickle the ivories while you wait or like other passengers to do so? And can you think of some appropriate commuter tunes?! Please let me know what you think.
