They gave their tomorrow for our today.

Remembrance Sunday is such an important moment in our calendar and our community always marks it beautifully.

Starting in Easthill Park, Portslade with the amazing community event which is always jam-packed with residents and loads of youngsters. Then Hove cenotaph where Sea Cadet Camellia carried my wreath and presented it to me to be presented.

Then off to All Saints Church, followed by the final service of the day at the Palmeira Avenue Synagogue to commemorate the sacrifice made by Jewish members of our military.

For me, it’s such an important moment. The chance to show solemn respect to those who lost their lives in service for our country. I also get to meet loads of veterans from our armed forces and I just love that.

To everyone that’s served our country, thank you. I hope you got to take part of observe one of our ceremonies and events. If you did, I’m sure it moved you just as much as it moved me.

Yours, Peter
