Recently, Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves has committed Labour to taking tax avoidance seriously, as does Peter.

The government reports that in the 2021 to 2022 tax year there is an estimated £1.4 billion tax gap. This is up from 2019-2021 and reflects the Conservative’s lack of commitment to ensuring the most powerful in Britain pay their fair share.

With this tax revenue, Labour will fund more NHS hospital/dentist appointments and free breakfast clubs for all primary schools. Our welfare state is an asset to Britain’s prosperity, and Peter won’t let it be gutted by corporations and the Conservatives

The last Labour government presided over a historic renewal of our public services, institutions like Sure Start elevated the worst off’s life chances. The Conservatives would rather line the ultra-wealthy’s pockets by letting them dodge their taxes.
