I hope you all have great plans for your mums today! I lost my beautiful mum two and a half years ago so sadly I can’t celebrate with her. But last night I got together with my brother and we shared some stories about our mum and life growing up with her – the hard work she put in along with the fun and heartache we all shared as a family.
So as someone who can’t do what many of you can, take a piece of advice from me: go the extra mile today and shower your mum with love and hugs. Even if you don’t always get on, believe me it isn’t something you’ll regret.
My brother and I decided this was one of our favourite photos of mum. We thought how proud she would have been to have it shared on this site in support of her youngest son. All the best, Peter
