Mike Weatherley Votes Against Tenants Rights

Sadly our letters asking Mike Weatherley to vote against agents charging fees to tenants failed - yesterday he voted for the charges to remain.
A few weeks ago I spoke to students who have set ...up a campaign called Home Sweet Home. The campaign seeks to take on agents that exploit tenants who lack to power to stand up for their own rights. Some students fall into this category due to financial constraints.

This photo was taken as I told the group of my regret that when I was a student I didn't stand up to landlords or start a similar campaign. I want to make up for that now by helping them as much as I can today.

I'm really pleased that this  group now freely use of my community campaign office in Church Road  to organise themselves and take their organisation from strength to strength. I hope together we'll be able to bring about many positive changes for people in rented accommodation across Hove and Portslade.
All the best, Peter
