How busy is MP Kyle ? Level of response is at all time low

Should MPs be banned form second jobs? Can they properly represent their constituents? Jeremy Corbyn is calling George Osbroune's new job as an editor of the Evening Standard "a joke" : https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/mar/17/george-osborne-named-new-evening-standard-editor-newspaper Should Jeremy look after his own MPs and how they represent their constituents. Have not heard from MP Kyle for ages! Anyone there who feels he does not represent us properly? Suggestion: ban MPs from any other jobs accept Parliamentary duties and work for constituents if they are truly passionate about it and will devote all their time to politics and people.

    1. I’m not sure it would be a good idea banning them from second jobs, but there are overwhelming reasons why they shouldn’t be allowed to hold paid directorships and consultancy positions with companies, not least because of the potential for serious conflicts of interest to arise.

For a quick example, here’s a slightly out of date list of 70 MPs who have interests/connections in and with private health companies.

    2. Re: Kyle’s activity. I find the website ‘theyworkforyou’, helpful in keeping track of MPs activity. You can see a list of Peter Kyle’s activity in Parliament at https://www.theyworkforyou.com/search/?pid=25418&pop=1#n4
